Wax seals were used to close letters in the 1700's - 1800's. It was common for seals to have phrases, well wishes or intentions on them. Upon receiving a letter, seeing the seal would often set the tone for what was inside. I became entranced by this concept and the art form of it. Especially as the way we communicate continued to shift and evolve during the pandemic, small messages or mementos became all the more dear.
Like letters, stone can also contain great meaning, messages and sentimentality. Tourmaline is known to bring inspiration, passion and patience to the wearer. We hope you wear this pendant as a talisman, memento or message to yourself on the days you need it most.
